Who I Am

Hi, I’m Emmarose Schmitt, LCSW, CAIMHP. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Addictions-Informed Mental Health Professional with experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.

I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, panic, life transitions, grief, and relationship or family conflict. My training includes trauma, grief, mood disorders, anxiety, and substance use disorders. Additionally, I have experience working with individuals and families in the foster care system and am deeply committed to reducing systemic barriers to care for vulnerable populations.

How I Can Help

My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and compassion-focused. I integrate evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and more, to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs.

I strive to create a warm, active, and non-judgmental therapeutic space where clients feel accepted and heard. My approach is collaborative—I work alongside my clients to build on their strengths, foster resilience, and support meaningful, lasting change. Therapy should be a process that moves at your pace, ensuring you feel empowered and validated every step of the way.

My Philosophy on Mental Health

I believe therapy should be both empowering and restorative. While challenges may arise during the process, my goal is to provide a supportive and validating space where clients feel safe exploring their emotions. Therapy is a team effort, and I value open dialogue to ensure our work together aligns with your needs. I encourage you to share your thoughts, concerns, and questions at any time.
